Publication of Marine Board Position Paper 17

“Marine Microbial Diversity and its Role in Ecosystem Functioning and Environmental Change”

Please note that Marine Board position paper 17 is now finalized and available for download from the website at: www.marineboard.eu.

The paper (in advanced draft from) was launched at a European Maritime Day session entitled: “Seas and Oceans Research in Europe: Addressing Critical Societal and Policy Challenges”, held in Gothenburg on 22 May 2012. The session was jointly organized by the Marine Board and JPI Oceans. Marine Board position paper 16 “Monitoring Chemical Pollution in Europe’s Seas: Programmes, Practices and Priorities for Research” was also presented at this session by the co-Chair of the WG POL working group, Patrick Roose (PP16 was published in January 2012).
